Future & conditional:

  1. Voy a estudiar medicina. — I’m going to study medicine.
  2. Me gustaría vivir en España. — I would like to live in Spain.

Voy a + infinitive is the near future — easy and reliable. Me gustaría + infinitive expresses wishes and adds a conditional to your tense range.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these exact sentences in my exam?

Yes, but adapt them: swap the nouns and adjectives to fit your topic, and make the details about you. Answers sound more natural when they reflect your own life, not memorised word for word.

Which tenses should I try to use in the speaking exam?

Aim for a mix: present for opinions, preterite or imperfect for the past, future or near future for plans, and conditional for aspirations. These sentences cover all of those.
